Uttar Pradesh has gained approval to add 600 new MBBS seats by establishing five more medical colleges in Gonda, Kaushambi, Chandauli, Kheri, and Auraiya, each with 100 seats. With this addition, the state’s total number of MBBS seats has reached 11,200, including both government and private colleges. Although six colleges were initially rejected, a review by the Union health ministry led to approval for five of them.
