MMCRI Increases MBBS Intake to 200 Amidst Growing Demand

Mysore Medical College and Research Institute (MMCRI) has significantly expanded its MBBS intake from 150 to 200 seats for the academic year 2024-25. This increase comes as a positive development amidst the rising competition for medical seats in India.

The decision to enhance the intake was driven by the increasing demand for medical professionals and the college’s successful fulfilment of the National Medical Commission’s (NMC) requirements. The expansion includes the construction of new infrastructure such as hostels and a lecture complex.

This development is particularly significant as MMCRI celebrates its centenary year. The additional 50 seats will provide more opportunities for aspiring medical students in the region.
