Fee Support for SC Medical Students:
SC students with 95%+ in II PUC, admitted under the management quota, will receive ₹25 lakh in fee assistance. An additional ₹25 lakh will be given if they score 60%+ in their first MBBS year.
Increased Incentives for SC/ST Students:
SC/ST students at top institutions like IIMs, IITs, IISc, and NITs will now receive ₹2 lakh (up from ₹1 lakh).
Encouraging Higher Education:
Minister H.C. Mahadevappa stated the initiative aims to support financially constrained SC/ST students in pursuing higher education, especially in fields like medicine.
