Eligibility Requirement: MBBS and BDS graduates must complete three years of compulsory rural service or pay a penalty of ₹50 lakh for postgraduate medical and dental courses.
Diploma Penalty: The penalty for PG diploma course candidates is ₹25 lakh.
KEA Requirements: The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) mandates the submission of:
- A rural service bond on ₹100 stamp paper.
- An undertaking on ₹200 stamp paper at the time of admission.
Undertaking Details: The undertaking acknowledges the subsidized tuition for government seats and confirms the obligation to serve Karnataka for three years after graduation.
Non-in-Service Candidates: All non-in-service candidates in government or private colleges under various quotas must also submit a Compulsory Rural Service Bond.
Additional Service Requirement: Candidates completing their postgraduate studies must undergo one year of compulsory service in urban government hospitals as per the Karnataka Compulsory Service Act.
