CCTV monitoring and live-streaming have been introduced for MBBS exams in West Bengal.

The West Bengal University of Health Sciences (WBUHS) has introduced new measures to enhance transparency and prevent malpractice during MBBS exams in the state.

CCTV Surveillance: All MBBS exam centers will be under CCTV surveillance, with footage stored for one year.

Live-Streaming: Exams will be live-streamed for real-time monitoring and transparency.

Anonymised Answer Sheets: Answer sheets will use barcodes instead of student names for anonymity.

Odd-Even Seating: Students will follow an odd-even roll number seating arrangement to discourage cheating.

Response to Junior Doctors’ Advocacy: These changes come after protests by junior doctors calling for stricter exam protocols and to address unqualified students receiving MBBS degrees.
